Most preferred as a foreground plant, Staurogyne repens is a hardy plant that enhances the beauty of the aquarium manifold. Originated from South America, the plant is compact, low lying and has a bushy stature. It doesn’t grow more than 5 to 10 cm in height and makes the bottom of the tank looks green and velvety. The leaves are small and green in color with a width of around 3.4 cm. One can plant the tissue cultured stems directly into the substrate. It is low demanding, and easy to maintain. It can grow both submerged and completely immersed in the water.
